February 2020 Cooking Class Schedule

All classes are held at the Blue Ridge Bakery, 86 W. Main St, Brevard, NC from 5:30-7:30 PM

Tuesday, February 4th: Indian Vegetarian

The best answer to the winter blahs is some good Indian food! On
the menu are Vegetable Samosas, Spinach & Potatoes, Mixed Vegetable
Curry, Vegetables with Almonds and Yogurt, Split Lentils with Zucchini, and
Saffron & Cardamom Rice. $40

Tuesday, February 11th: Romantic Valentine’s Day Dinner

Avoid the crowded restaurants and have a romantic dinner at home
with the ones you love. On the menu are the following entrees: Linguini
with Shrimp Scampi, Penne with Creamy Vodka Sauce and Beef
Wellington. Sides are Caramelized Pancetta and Fennel Salad and
Roasted Root Vegetables. And for dessert, homemade tiramisu. $45

Tuesday, February 18th: Blue Zone Comfort Food

If you haven’t heard of Blue Zones yet, you will very soon. Brevard,
NC is about to become the 50th Blue Zone certified town. People in Blue
Zones of the world live longer, happier & healthier lives. In this class, we
will learn some cold weather ways to eat well and live well. On the menu:
Ikarian Winter Ratatouille, Hummus with parsley, Adventist Gumbo (a
veggie version that is quite tasty) Roasted potatoes & Green Beans
w/Mustard Drizzle and One-Pot Lasagna soup. $40

Tuesday, February 25th: Veggie Burgers

In this class, we will explore the world of homemade veggie burgers.
We will be making the following burgers: Black Bean & Sweet Potato, Spicy
Black Bean, Mushroom & Pinto Beans, Chickpea & Veggies, TVP Burgers
(my favorite!) and even a Tuna Burger from our restaurant in Charlotte. $40
